What a great day at the Woodroffe Maths Roadshow for our year 4s!
It was a truly engaging experience, and it was clear how much effort and enthusiasm had gone into planning the activities.
The range of maths activities was fantastic—particularly the dice games, the “count to 100” challenge, and the 'guess the number of sweets' challenge! These activities made maths feel fun, interactive, and accessible for everyone involved.
We were also very grateful for how accommodating and helpful everyone was throughout the morning. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made a real difference and ensured the whole experience was both enjoyable and memorable. And of course, the homemade biscuits were a lovely touch!
We are thrilled to announce that BPS raised £219.23 for Comic Relief. Thank you to everyone who brought in donations and bought cakes. Every penny will go towards this fantastic cause, helping others who are less fortunate than us.

Every class enjoyed some challenges on Friday as part of our Red Nose Day event. Here are a few photos of Langdon and their buddies from Watton doing an obstacle course...
We enjoyed dressing up as our favourite characters!
Our runners went to Colfox this week. Both teams did a fantastic job!
Our futsal team played the final last night... and brought home the trophy again!
We have had lots of fun dressing up at Times Table Rockstars and wearing number-related clothes, with some fantastic homemade costumes too! The children have enjoyed playing TTRS, Hit the Button and doing other fun maths in class and at break and lunchtimes.
We were thrilled to unveil our brand-new school logo earlier this year! 🏫
Several year groups in key stage two have had enormous fun recently, orienteering with Mr Kite! There are more sessions to come!
Here are some quotes...
Year four has enjoyed some workshops about flaxseed.
We are delighted with our new school sports kit!
Well done to our cross-country runners, who went to Beaminster!
